For green chutney
  1. To make the green chutney, combine all the ingredients and blend into a smooth mixture, using approximately ½ cup of water.
  2. Store the green chutney refrigerated in an air-tight container and use as required.

How to make green chutney for Vrat

 

    1. Take one fresh bunch of coriander. Here are some health benefits of fresh dhania that you must read!
    2. Separate the leaves and the stems.
    3. Wash the coriander leaves under running water to remove mud and dirt that might be stuck to the leaves.
    4. Roughly chop the leaves for the green chutney. We will need around 1.5 cups of chopped dhania for the faraal green chutney. Keep aside.
    5. Also, we have added freshly grated coconut in this recipe to make it a little different. It also gives a thick consistency to the green chutney. 
    6. In a mixer jar, add the coriander leaves.
    7. Now add the coconut.
    8. Add roughly chopped green chillies. If you want a spicier chutney, then add a little more.
    9. Furthermore, add the lemon juice. Lemon juice helps in retaining the bright green colour.
    10. Add the sugar. It helps in balancing the sour flavor of hari chutney from lemon.
    11. Finally add salt to taste.
    12. Add approximately ? cup of water. If you want a liquidy green chutney then add more water.
    13. Blend into a smooth paste.
    14. Remove in a bowl and use as required. This will yield around ? cup of chutney.
    15. Store this in the freezer in an airtight container.
