Ingredients
For The Batter
1/2 cup jowar (white millet) flour
1/4 cup urad dal (split black lentil) flour
2 tbsp whisked curds (dahi)
1 tsp green chilli paste
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
salt to taste
Other Ingredients For Jowar Sprouts Pancake
1/2 cup boiled mixed sprouts
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup finely chopped tomato
1 tsp finely chopped green chillies
salt to taste
3 tsp oil for greasing and cooking
Method
- To make jowar sprouts pancake recipe, combine all the batter ingredients in a deep bowl along with 1 cup of water and mix well to get a batter consistency.
- Cover and keep aside to rest it for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Heat a non stick tava (griddle) and grease it using ¼ tsp oil.
- Pour a spoonful of batter and spread it lightly to make a 100 mm (4 inch) diameter pancake.
- Spread 1 tbsp of the topping evenly over each pancake and press it lightly.
- Cook them on a medium flame using ¼ tsp oil till both the sides turn golden brown in colour.
- Repeat step 3 to 6 with the remaining batter to make 6 more pancakes.
- Serve jowar sprouts pancake immediately.
