Ingredients
For Green Pea Pancakes
1 cup yellow moong dal (split yellow gram) , soaked for 30 minutes and drain
1 cup green peas
1 1/2 tsp chopped green chillies
1 tsp grated ginger (adrak)
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
salt to taste
2 1/2 tsp peanut oil for greasing and cooking

Method
For green pea pancakes
To make green pea pancakes, combine the soaked and drained moon dal, green peas, chillies, coriander and ginger and blend in a mixer using little water to make a thick batter.
Transfer the batter into a deep bowl, add the onions and salt and mix well.
Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and grease it using ¼ tsp oil.
Pour a spoonful of the batter on it and spread in a circular motion to make 120 mm. (5”) thick round.
Cook, using ¼ tsp of oil, till it turns light brown in colour from both the sides.
Repeat with the remaining batter to make 9 more green pea pancakes.
Serve the green pea pancakes immediately with carrot garlic chutney.

Soak them in enough water for 30 minutes.

Add the coriander and ginger. If you have green-chiillie & ginger paste ready, then you can toss that in.

Add 1 cup of water and blend to make a thick batter.

Add the onions and salt. Also, you can other vegetables like carrot, French bean, cabbage, capsicum to the green pea pancake batter.

Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and grease it using ¼ tsp oil. Alternatively, you can use olive oil or ghee to cook the pea pancake. If you have a mini uttapam pan, then make use of it to make mini pea pancakes.

Spread in a circular motion to make 125 mm. (5”) thick round. You can make in any size and shape as you desire.
