To boil pasta in microwave, add 4 cups of water in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 5 minutes. Add the olive oil, salt and pasta, mix well and microwave on high for 10 minutes, while stirring once after 5 minutes. Drain the pasta immediately using a sieve or a colander and refresh it with cold water. Use as required.

Maybe I used the wrong pasta but this did not work for me. I had to cook it for over twice the recommend time and in the end the pasta was gummy. I could have cooked it in a pot in less time with better results. However, if a microwave is your only option this does sort of work.

This was really quick.. and saved some of my time while making the pasta.. As the pasta masala was been cooked i just had to give one stir in between.. And the pastas was perfectly cooked.. without getting too soft or mushy.. In future i would prefer to use this method.. Thank you for this recipe..

You should skip the last step. As an italian you should never rinse pasta in cold water. It A. cools the pasta down much quicker and B. you lose all the starch on the outside of the pasta that can help thicken ur sauce.

This recipe turned out brilliantly the pasta was well cooked and I was able to enjoy itvas if I had cooked it on the stove!
