2 tbsp rice (chawal) , washed and drained
1/2 tsp ghee
Method
For rice mash for babies
To make rice mash for babies, combine the rice and ¾ cup of water in a pressure cooker, mix well and pressure cook for 3 to 4 whistles. The rice should be completely cooked and soft.
Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
Add the ghee and mix well.
Mash it completely using a potato masher to get a smooth consistency.
Serve the rice mash for babies lukewarm.

- Then introduce this Rice Mash for Babies. Begin with small quantity like a tbsp. and then gradually increase the quantity.
- Let the baby decide how much s(he) wants to eat. Do not force the baby. This might lead to dislike for that particular food.
- Feed your baby in an upright position.
- Discuss with your doctor at every stage of weaning. Which foods to introduce and when to introduce.
